Evil Auntie's Sugar Belly Fairies

Ingredients:

Flour 6 cups 1440 ml
Butter 6 oz 180 ml
Brown Sugar 1-1/2 cup 60 ml
Ground Cinnamon 1/4 cup 360 ml
Ground Ginger 1/4 cup 60 ml
Ground Cloves 1/2 tsp 2.5 ml
Salt 1/2 tsp 2.5 ml
Molasses 1 cup 240 ml
Water 1 T 15 ml
Eggs 2 2

  • Measuring Cups
  • Rolling Pin
  • Cookie cutter
  • Pastry Board

Notes

Cooking times will vary depending on size and inteded use. Small pieces for eating may take as little as 6 minutes, while large pieces for building a gingerbread house may take 15 minutes.

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients with butter in a large bowl.

Mix eggs, molasses and water in a second bowl.

Combine the two mixtures to form dough and knead.

Roll out and use cookie cutter to shape fairies.

Bake at 350°F until edges darken.

Let cool on rack.
